Runcorn Town Hall Park

Runcorn Town Hall Park is set within formal gardens, meadows and woodland. It is regularly used by local residents for dog walking and informal sporting activities. There is a children’s playground and the large open grass area for a variety of events and activities. Find a pleasant spot to sit down with a picnic, or enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Friendship Garden, which was built to celebrate the town twinning between Halton and Tongling in China. The woodland and grasslands are home to small mammals, insects and birds all year round so there’s always a wide variety of wildlife to look out for.

The Mansion house is a Grade II listed building; two-storey Italianate villa with belvedere tower rising to four storeys, with three bay facade plus tower. The centre bay has a Tuscan portico with open balustrade above. In 1974 the buildings and park became the responsibility of the newly formed Halton Borough Council and is now used as the Civic building, Council Chamber and offices.
